Dear members and friends of MIRACUM,
we would like to present to you the progress and perspectives of the MIRACUM consortium, but also interesting aspects from the medical informatics initiative (MII) and the “Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin” (NUM). Therefore, we cordially invite you to the fourth MIRACUM Symposium, which will be held as a hybrid event on July 15 and 16, 2021 in Mannheim.
The subject of the symposium will be further developments in data integration centers (DIC) and use cases, ethical aspects of using clinical data for research, IT support for COVID-19 research, merging patient data from DIC with data on biospecimens and making them usable, and innovative approaches in online teaching. The four “Digitale FortschrittsHubs Gesundheit” of the MIRACUM consortium will also be presented, likewise the four successfully acquired junior research groups. Further presentations address the significance of the Hospital Futures Act (KHGZ) for the MII and the ontology-based terminology standard SNOMED CT.
