In the regionally broadcast news program Frankenschau aktuell, Bayerischer Rundfunk reported on 11.11.2021 about the introduction of the Broad Consent of the Medical Informatics Initiative at the Erlangen site (starting at 20:14 min).
The report was broadcasted after a press briefing organized by the MIRACUM consortium. Various representatives of the local media came to the event to find out about the current status of the now soon to be widespread introduction of the Broad Consent for patients in the catchment area of the University Hospital.
Consortium leader Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Prokosch and Prof. Dr. Thomas Ganslandt answered numerous questions on topics such as: Tasks of data integration centers and trustees, data security and the many advantages that arise for research, but not least for the patients through the Broad Consent.
The Erlangen site and all other sites of the Medical Informatics Initiative pursue with their public relations work the important goal of informing the population in detail about the upcoming changes for patients.
